Audible, the audiobook website from Amazon is the latest company coming to the rescue to keep the kids busy while they’re off school. Here we have picked the best books available to listen to for free for children

Littlest Listeners

Winnie-the-Pooh, Volume 1, by A. A. Milne – This collection contains ten classic Pooh stories performed by Peter Dennis and is the only authorised reading. “The stories are about Christopher Robin and these good companions having wonderful times getting in and out of trouble.”

Elementary

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll – Black Widow actress, Scarlet Johansson, reads this classic story from Lewis Carroll imbuing each character with a distinct voice and personality.

Tween

White Fang by Jack London – Narrated by John Lee, White Fang is the classic story of a lone wolf fighting for his survival in the frozen northwest of Canada.

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley – Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World narrated by Michael York tells the story of Lenina and Bernard when they visit a savage reservation and experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.
